During the first 4 months of the current year, 26 attacks were made in
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing 127 policemen. The total number of martyred
policemen so far has crossed the figure of 4 thousand. Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa police is the target of the terrorists. From 1st January to 4th
April of the current year, 127 policemen including officers have lost their
lives, and another 500 hundred are badly injured. The former government
had cut the funds of the police department. Because of that vehicles of 30
police stations of Peshawar are not getting the supply of fuel. The
absence of patrolling police vehicles on the roads has increased crimes.
The law-and-order situation in Peshawar is worse than in Karachi. The
stalling of police vehicles is the main reason for the failure of security.
