In the Kurram District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four individuals, including two security personnel, were tragically killed and three others were wounded when armed assailants opened fire on a passenger bus and a car in the Sadda area. The deceased included two security personnel, a driver, and a woman. The District Police Officer has reported that a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the attackers, and security measures have been heightened in the area. In a separate incident, six barbers were kidnapped and later found dead in North Waziristan. The year 2023 has seen a concerning increase in terror-related incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with 419 militant attacks resulting in the deaths of 620 people, including security forces personnel, civilians, and militants. Both mainland KP and the Newly Merged Districts have been affected by violence, with a higher number of attacks occurring in mainland KP. FATA also experienced a significant number of militant attacks.
