Pakistan’s Ahmadi community, a long-persecuted minority group, has been targeted once again. In Kotli, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, extremists desecrated Ahmadi graves, displaying a shocking disregard for the dead and a deep-seated hatred.
This incident is part of a larger trend. Ahmadi mosques and cemeteries have faced repeated attacks in recent years. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, considered non-Muslim by Pakistani law, is subjected to violence and discrimination.
This attack is particularly egregious as it includes the desecration of the grave of Naik Ghulam Shafi, a Pakistani army hero who died defending Siachen. This act not only disrespects the Ahmadi community but also dishonors a soldier who served his country.
