The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir expressed Pakistan Army’s unwavering support for the government’s efforts to boost the country’s economic recovery during a meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) apex committee, chaired by the Caretaker Prime Minister. The committee reviewed progress on policy interventions aimed at improving the investment climate and discussed various projects being pursued through the SIFC platform. The committee also agreed to fast-track infrastructural development to facilitate investors, especially in remote areas of the country. Progress in key sectors was presented and the committee showed satisfaction with overall progress achieved under SIFC and appreciated the collaborations with friendly countries. The committee also expressed determination to take action against those who have impacted the economic trajectory and to provide immediate relief to citizens.
