Baykar Technologies, a Turkish aerospace and defense company, recently established an office within Pakistan’s National Aerospace Science & Technology Park (NASTP) at Pakistan Air Force Base Nurkhan in Rawalpindi. This development marks a significant step in strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of aerospace technology. During the inauguration, a formal cooperation agreement was signed between Baykar and NASTP, with Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of Baykar, and Air Marshal Ghulam Abbas Ghumman, Deputy Chief of Air Staff at NASTP, signing the agreement, solidifying their commitment to collaboration in the aerospace sector.
On August 4, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had officially opened the NASTP Park. The Prime Minister highlighted the park’s potential to drive technological progress in the region.
The NASTP aims to facilitate research, development, and innovation in aviation, space, cyber, and computing domains, leading to significant social, economic, technological, and scientific benefits for Pakistan and its esteemed partners, as stated by a press release from Prime Minister Sharif’s office.
