COAS applauds Rawalpindi Corps in befittingly defending country’s borders

RAWALPINDI – As part of his farewell visits, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Naval and Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Monday. On arrival at Naval Headquarters, COAS was presented Guard of Honor by smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy. COAS met with Principle staff officers at Naval Headquarters, says a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). During his meeting with Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, Chief of Naval Staff, COAS admired the role of Pakistan Navy in safeguarding the maritime frontiers of Pakistan. On arrival at Air Headquarters, COAS was presented with Guard of Honour by a contingent of PAF followed by interaction with Principal Staff Officers of Air Headquarters. Later COAS met Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, and appreciated the thorough professionalism of PAF defending the aerial frontiers of Pakistan and highlighted the critical role played by PAF during war against terrorism. COAS also visited Headquarters Rawalpindi Corps and laid floral wreath at Martyrs’ Monument. While addressing the officers and troops COAS applauded Rawalpindi Corps in befittingly defending the country’s borders including Siachen and Line of Control. COAS also interacted with troops. Earlier on arrival COAS was received by Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Commander Rawalpindi Corps.

COAS Bajwa visits Multan Garrison, praises troops’ devotion to motherland

General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff on Thursday visited Bahawalpur and Okara as part of farewell visits.

The Army Chief laid floral wreath at Martyrs’ monument at Bahawalpur and interacted with officers and troops of Formations at Bahawalpur and Okara.

Gen Bajwa also witnessed Integrated Fire Power Manoeuvre Exercise at Khairpur Tamewali where troops of Bahawalpur Corps along with PAF JF-17 Thunder aircraft, Cobra Gunship Helicopters and mechanized elements displayed coordinated fire power in battlefield conditions. The COAS appreciated the training standards, operational preparedness and high morale of officers and troops. He directed troops to keep serving the nation with traditional zeal and passion under all circumstances.

COAS Bajwa visits Multan Garrison, praises troops’ devotion to motherland

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Friday visited the Multan Garrison, where he interacted with army personnel, the military’s media wing said.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that while interacting with strike formation troops, the COAS commended their extraordinary professional competence and devotion to duty in the service of the motherland.

Earlier on arrival, Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz Satti received the army chief, the military’s media wing said.

Farewell meetings
Just a day back, the army chief visited Sialkot and Mangla garrisons as part of his farewell visits to various formations, a statement from the ISPR had said.

The army chief advised the armed forces to keep serving the nation with the same zeal and commitment no matter what the circumstances.

The COAS appreciated formations for their excellent performance during various operations, training, and natural calamities.
