Five soldiers killed in KP IED blast

A roadside bomb exploded on a Security Forces vehicle in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, killing five soldiers, according to the military’s media wing.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the attack happened in the Sadda area of Kurram District.

The dead soldiers are Havildar Aqeel Ahmed (33, from Okara), Lance Naik Muhammad Tafeer (30, from Poonch), Sepoy Anosh Rufun (24, from Attock), Sepoy Muhammad Azam Khan (26, from Haripur), and Sepoy Haroon William (29, from Islamabad).

“Efforts are underway to clear the area of any remaining terrorists, and those responsible for this terrible act will be brought to justice,” the ISPR statement said.

The Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to fight terrorism. “The sacrifices of our brave soldiers strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR added.

Earlier this month, a similar bomb attack in Lakki Marwat District killed seven soldiers.
