Pakistan Army chief, Gen Asim Munir cautioned about the spread of rumors and fake news on social media against Pakistan. He emphasized the need to identify and confront this misinformation campaign aimed at creating an atmosphere of doubt and despair in the country.
Gen Munir asserted that these efforts to paint a negative picture of the country’s stability were ultimately futile. He reminded the audience of the unique historical significance of Pakistan, established alongside the holy state of Madina as a beacon of faith and justice. Drawing inspiration from this legacy, he pledged the army’s commitment to tackling internal challenges alongside the nation, including cracking down on all forms of organized crime and mafia activity.
He was speaking at the National Convention of Farmers. He assured the farmers that the nation put “agriculture first” in order to recapture the glory of the Green Revolution, which had made Pakistan’s economy one of Asia’s fastest-growing. He assured the audience hope that the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s (SIFC) measures will be successful and help the nation “come out of economic crisis” and onto the road to a prosperous and progressive future.
“The foundation of our agriculture industry is its farmers. Your tireless efforts, labor, and resolve are crucial in guaranteeing food security for millions of Pakistanis,” he stated to the gathering, which comprised senior government officials, federal ministers, and experts in agriculture.
He pointed out that the nation possessed some of the best natural resources and that it might regain its former greatness by upholding the fundamental values that Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had established, namely unity and faith.
Regarding the Green Pakistan Initiative, he stated that the provinces would receive the majority of the initiative’s income, with the remainder going to farmers and agricultural research. The Pakistan Army will play a key role in serving the people and assisting farmers.
With the support of the country, the army leader pledged to dismantle all mafias and disclosed plans to construct “agricultural malls” in every area, offering a range of services to farmers.
He also assured the farmers of “easy agricultural credit, cold storage chain, climate change resistant seeds, and genetically engineered livestock.”
