General Sahir Shamshad Mirza meets Jordan King and senior military officials

Amman, Jordan: General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) for Pakistan, met with His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussain of Jordan during an official visit. The high-level meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in various areas, including politico-diplomatic relations. Both leaders discussed ways to further enhance political and diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Another key topic of discussion was strengthening military cooperation through joint exercises, training programs, and equipment exchange was a key topic of discussion. The current security situation in the region, including challenges and opportunities, was also addressed.

In recognition of General Mirza’s outstanding service, King Abdullah II conferred upon him the prestigious “Order of the Star of Jordan” medal. This honor signifies the deep appreciation Jordan holds for Pakistan’s contributions to regional security and cooperation.

Besides meeting with the King, CJCSC Mirza held separate discussions with other senior Jordanian military officials. Meeting with Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hnaity, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) focused on specific details of military cooperation and potential collaborative projects. He also had meeting with Brigadier General Muhammad Hyasat, Commander of the Royal Jordan Air Force: This dialogue may have explored opportunities for joint training exercises and information exchange between the two air forces.
