Transaction data obtained by Norwegian financial outlet E24 and the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) reveals that one of the properties, a three-bedroom apartment in Al Hamri, was valued at AED 1,150,000 or $313,000 in 2009 (calculated at the current exchange rate of 3.6 dirhams to a dollar) and was sold for slightly over half a million dollars in 2021.
–Former COAS General (r.) Qamar Javed Bajwa’s son Saad Siddique Bajwa also owned a luxurious two-bedroom apartment in an upscale area of Dubai in 2020. The property was initially purchased on February 18, 2020 for AED 2.35 million. Later the property was sold on December 27, 2020. The listed price of the property mentioned in the leaked data is AED 1.75 million. Saad Siddique Bajwa bought the property from an investment company but later transferred it to his younger brother Ali Iqbal Bajwa who is the current owner of the property.
–Retired Lt Gen Shafaat Ullah Shah, a senior military officer during the tenure of former dictator Gen Pervez Musharraf (whose name is also included in the data), is identified as a listed owner in the leaks for a property acquired in 2015. Dubai Land Department (DLD) records indicate that he still retains ownership of the property as of February 2024, alongside his son. Mr. Shafaat Ullah Shah has held various significant positions, serving as military secretary to Mr. Musharraf, as corps commander in Lahore, and as chief of logistics staff at the general headquarters in Rawalpindi. According to purchase data obtained by OCCRP, this property, a two-bedroom apartment in Barsha Heights, was bought for $139,398 in 2015. In response to inquiries from Dawn, Mr. Shafaat Ullah Shah stated that all assets owned by him or his immediate family members, as well as the income generated from them, have been disclosed to regulators, including the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
—Retired Maj Gen Syed Ehtasham Zamir, a former head of ISI’s political wing who passed away in 2015, is identified as a listed owner for the period of 2020-2022 in the leaks, although he is no longer the owner of the mentioned property. His association is linked to a studio apartment that was valued at $54,181 in 2008 and was sold in August 2019 for $63,438.
Mr. Zamir’s wife initially made a down payment for a three-bedroom off-plan apartment in the Address Harbour Point Tower, with a market value of $877,761 in January 2018. However, in response to inquiries from Dawn, his son stated that the property was sold for approximately $160,000 in September 2021. He further clarified that his parents’ properties were acquired subsequent to the sale of their home in Pakistan, and that all income derived from these properties was duly declared to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and is part of the army’s records.
His children, consisting of a son and two daughters, are listed as owners of a two-bedroom apartment in Marina Arcade, which was purchased in July 2017 for $440,382. The total rental income generated from this property from July 2019 to July 2024 amounts to $130,141. They retain ownership of this property at present.
—Retired Lt Gen Muhammad Akram is identified as the listed owner of two studio apartments in the Elite Residences 4 building. However, Mr. Akram no longer holds ownership of these properties, as they were both sold during the same period to a single individual. According to purchase records, both studios were acquired in September 2013 for approximately $150,000 each and subsequently sold in 2022 for an undisclosed amount.
—Retired Maj Gen Ghazanfar Ali Khan is mentioned in the leaks as the listed owner of a residential unit in Al Warsan First. As of March 2024, he was still registered in the DLD system as the owner of this property. Transaction data indicates that the property was purchased in October 2010 for $81,406. The rental income generated from it between December 2013 and February 2024 amounted to $64,117.
—Retired Brig Nadir Mir is identified in the data as the owner of a studio apartment in Al Warsan First. As per the DLD search, he remained the owner of the property as of March 2024. This property was acquired in March 2010 for $54,110, and between 2014 and 2023, it generated a rental income of $33,052.

—Retired Maj Azizul Aman Zuberi and a family member are listed as the owners of a property in Shakespeare Circus 1, which was valued at $147,797 in November 2013 and sold in April 2022.
—Retired Major Gen Ausaf Ali is noted as the owner of a studio apartment in Al Yufra 2, and the DLD system confirms his current ownership of this property. It was purchased in February 2016 for $139,298.
—Retired Maj Gen Raja Arif Nazir, HI(M), is listed as the owner of two off-plan properties. One is a one-bedroom residential unit in Damac Hills Artesia Tower, valued at $311,931 in February 2015. The other is a one-bedroom apartment in Golf Promenade, valued at $342,791 in June 2014. Between mid-2021 and mid-2024, the latter property generated a rental income of $36,755. Both of these properties are still owned by Mr. Nazir as of March 2024, according to the DLD.
