In recent weeks, there has been a noticeable rise in attacks on police and security forces across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Within a few hours on the night between Saturday and Sunday, police officers faced multiple attacks in Peshawar, Hangu, and Dera Ismail Khan. In the last 24 hours, a station house officer, his guard, and two others were wounded in an armed attack in Hangu late Saturday night. In Dera Ismail Khan, a deputy superintendent of police narrowly escaped harm when attackers opened fire on his car at midnight.
