Iranian ships and submarines visited Karachi port and participated in
naval exercises with the Pakistan Navy. According to the
spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, ships and submarines were
welcomed by senior officials of Pakistan Navy and diplomatic staff of
Iran upon their arrival at Karachi port. The recent visit of the Iranian
Navy to Pakistan is a manifestation of the joint efforts of regional
stability and maritime security to ensure the safety of shipping lanes
and seafarers in the region.
