Karachi Shipyard to open office in Saudi Arabia

Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd (KS&EW) is establishing an international office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to explore business opportunities animating from KSA vision 2030. In this regard, KS&EW local business partner is SBL. For this, an international exclusive agency agreement was signed on 6th February 2024 on the sidelines of WDS in a simple ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor of GAMI, KSA and Additional Secy of Ministry of Defence Production, Pakistan along with several high-ranking officials from both countries. KS&EW is in Riyadh to participate in the World Defense Show 2024, being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

KS&EW offers diversified sea going platforms/ solutions to its customers that range from harbour crafts to war ships to commercial vessels. Vessels already built includes tugs, hopper barges, pilot boats, Gun Boats, Missile Boats, Corvettes, Frigates, Maritime Patrol Vessels and Logistic Support / Fleet Tanker. Under commercial shipbuilding, KS&EW offers container ships, edible oil/ chemical tankers and bulk cargo ships. KS&EW also offers Ship Repairs and General Engineering services along with technical trade training. Presently, KS&EW operates under the administrative control of Ministry of Defence Production (MoDP), Government of Pakistan. KS&EW is registered with the Security & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and operates as a public limited company since 1956.
