The most well-known terrorist group in Pakistan Lashkar-e-Tayyaba (LeT), also known as Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) is most well-known for serving as the Pakistani army’s go-between to carry out its chosen foreign security measures. The Pakistan state also values the organisation because it also advances internal security goals. For instance, the group participates in the government’s campaign against the Islamic State in Pakistan. Additionally, it is the sole jihadi group in Pakistan that “remains linked to the Nationalist-Islamist aims of Pakistan’s security establishment.” The group believes that anyone who has acknowledged Allah as supreme cannot be slain regardless of sectarianism and opposes it.Because it shares the state’s emphasis on stability, the LeT rejects attempts to overthrow any particular political government in Pakistan, whether it be civilian or military. It is noteworthy that the LeT kept a strict silence throughout the recent fall of the former Imran Khan’s government and his conflict with the army. Last but not least, the LeT has emerged as a crucial ally in the Pakistani government’s effort to publicise and win acceptance for the contentious Chinese-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), particularly in Balochistan.
