Lt Gen (retired) Anwar Ali Haider is the new interim Defence Minister of Pakistan.
He has been the Adjutant General of Pakistan Army and Colonel Commandant of Northern Lights infantry before his retirement. He then became Chairman, Naya Pakistan Housing Development Authority (NAPHDA) and head of Army Welfare Trust.
