New Turkish missile for drones under development in Pakistan

Pakistan and Turkiye are jointly working on a missile with turbojet rocket engine to be used by Bayraktar TB2 and Bayraktar Akinci drones. Both the drones are in service with Pakistan Air Force. The missile is being tested at Pakistan Air Force’s National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP).

The missile is expected to have a mission range of over 200 km and be effective against the riskiest targets behind enemy lines. It will operate autonomously with its artificial intelligence-supported autopilot system and will transmit all data and images collected to the ground control station. This new missile named Kemankeş 2 resembles a winged loitering munition known as “KaGeM V3”. The missile has a length of 1.73 meters, a wingspan of 1.25 meters, and a weight of 3 kg. It is still in the testing phase and has not yet been integrated into the Bayraktar TB2 or Bayraktar Akıncı unmanned aerial vehicles.
