Pakistan Navy and Turkish Navy Participate in Joint Exercise “TURGUTREIS-IX” and Visit Aksaz Naval Base

The Pakistan Navy and Turkish Navy recently participated in the joint exercise “TURGUTREIS-IX” to enhance mutual cooperation and improve joint operational capabilities.

During the harbor phase of the exercise, various activities including briefings, table-top discussions, and exercise coordination meetings were conducted on PNS Babar.

In the sea phase, Turkish Navy ships, including TCG HEYBELIADA, the submarine TCG DOGANAY, and an SH-70B helicopter, participated alongside PNS Babar.

The Commander of the Turkish Navy’s Southern Task Group visited PNS Babar during the exercise. Discussions focused on issues of mutual interest and bilateral naval cooperation were held between the Commander of the Turkish Navy and the Commanding Officer of the Southern Task Group on PNS Babar.

The bilateral exercise TURGUTREIS, a regular event between the Pakistan Navy and Turkish Navy, aims to strengthen the ties and operational synergy between the two naval forces.
