Pakistan-Oman military ties
Pakistan and Oman have historically maintained strong diplomatic and military ties. These ties are built on mutual interests, cultural affinities, and a shared commitment to regional security and stability. The two countries have engaged in various defense cooperation initiatives over the years, including joint military exercises, training programs, and exchanges of military personnel.
Oman’s strategic location near key maritime routes and its focus on maintaining stability in the Arabian Peninsula align with Pakistan’s interests in maintaining a stable region. Both countries have collaborated in areas such as counter-terrorism, maritime security, and disaster relief operations. Joint military exercises like “Al-Shams” have allowed their armed forces to enhance interoperability and share best practices.
These military ties also extend to defense procurement and technology cooperation.
