Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is an Islamist militant group that emerged in 2007, primarily operating in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan. The group’s goal is to overthrow the Pakistani government and establish an Islamic state in the country. The Pakistan Army has launched several operations against the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militant group over the years. The most significant of these operations include:

Operation Rah-e-Rast (2009): Launched in Swat and surrounding areas, this operation aimed to clear the region of TTP militants who had taken control of the area. The operation was successful in clearing the region of TTP influence.

Operation Zarb-e-Azb (2014): Launched in North Waziristan, this operation aimed to target TTP militants who had taken refuge in the area. The operation resulted in the displacement of millions of people, but it was successful in clearing the region of TTP and other militant groups.

Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad (2017): Launched across the country, this operation aimed to target the remaining TTP militants and other militant groups. The operation has been ongoing and has resulted in a significant reduction in militant activity in the country.

These operations have been successful in weakening the TTP and other militant groups in Pakistan. However, the TTP and its affiliated groups continue to carry out attacks in the country, particularly in the northwestern region. The Pakistani Army remains committed to targeting and neutralizing these militant groups to maintain internal security and stability in the country.
