The U.S. Navy littoral combat ship, USS INDIANAPOLIS, recently arrived at Karachi Port in Pakistan and conducted a joint exercise with the Pakistan Navy. This collaboration highlights the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the two nations’ naval forces.
Upon arrival, the USS INDIANAPOLIS was greeted by senior Pakistani Navy officials, signifying a warm reception. During its stay, the crews from both sides engaged in professional interactions. These included tabletop discussions on current maritime issues, as well as planning and coordination meetings for the upcoming joint exercise.
At-Sea Training-The core aspect of the visit involved a sea drill between the USS INDIANAPOLIS and the Pakistani Navy ship, PNS ALAMGIR, which also had an embarked helicopter. This exercise aimed to enhance interoperability, a key factor in ensuring smooth cooperation during future operations.
