Urdu media on TTP consolidation

Despite assurances from the Afghan government, all major groups of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are using Afghan soil for terrorist activities in Pakistan. Taliban groups reside in the eastern provinces of Khost, Paktia, Nangarhar, Kunar and Kandahar. As of 2020, 42 groups have joined the TTP, with 20 groups joining in 2023. According to sources, all major groups are operating from Afghanistan without any resistance from the Afghan government. They have established safe havens and training centers in the areas. Hafiz Gul Bahadur group is operating from Khost and Hafiz Gul Bahadur is the head of the group. Similarly, members of Lashkar-e-Islam under the leadership of Mangal Bagh are residing in Paktia. Omar Makram Khorasani is the head of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and Hizb-ul-Ahrar and their headquarters are in Paktika. Another group of TTP is called Maulvi Aleem Khan Ustad Group which is operating from Khost under the leadership of Aleem Khan. Maulana Sher Alam Shehryar is the head of the Mehsud group and resides in Kandahar. The Hakeemullah Mehsud Group is headed by Commander Mukhlis Yar and is operating from Khost. Similarly, Amjad Farooqui’s group is stationed in Nangarhar and Ustad Ahmad Farooq is leading the group. Another commander Maulvi Khush Mohammad is living in Paktika with his group Saifullah Kurdish group. Similarly, Musa Shaheed Karwan is staying in Nangarhar and Ghazi Umar Azam is the head of the organization. Ahmed Dawar is the head of Izzatullah Khyali Group and is based in Kannada. Dr. Ismail’s group from Bajaur is working under Maulana Ismail in Kannada. The head of Tariq Gaidar group is Tariq Mansoor and he is living in Kannada. Due to the presence of Taliban in Afghanistan, many commanders of TTP have been killed. According to reports, Mullah Fazlullah was killed in a drone attack in Kannada on June 18, 2018. Another commander Rafiullah was killed in Kabul on 01 February 2022 over power and finances between different factions of the TTP. Similarly, Khalid Balti was killed in Nangarhar on 10 January 2022. Khalid was the person who called the media in Pakistan and Afghanistan to claim the 2014 terrorist attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar. Similarly, Maulana Uqbai Bajauri was killed on August 7, 2022 in Kunnar, Umar Khalid Khorasani was killed in an explosion in Kopaktika on August 8, 2022. Asadullah Pahlwan was killed by unknown gunmen on October 27, 2022 in Spin Boldak area of Kandahar. Akhtar Khalil was assassinated in Nangarhar on 29 September 2022. However, Badshah Khan Mehsud died in a landmine explosion in Paktika on 10 September 2023. Commander TTP Lucky Marwat Atiqur Rehman, popularly known as Tipu Gill, was killed in a gunfight in Kannada on 8 October 2023. Commander Zharar Waziristani was killed on 23 October 2023 in Khost and Fazal Amin on 5 November 2023 in Nangarhar.
